Lunettes Ardentes Clipei X The Reference Library

This is a project close to our hearts that we have been working on for a long time. It began almost two years ago, at Pitti Uomo, when we met Gordon Ritchie, founder of The Reference Library.

The design of these sunglasses is inspired by Jean-Pierre Melville. Always wearing a hat and a pair of sunglasses, Jean-Pierre Melville was an iconic French thriller director of the 60s.

The glasses are handmade in England, in The Reference Library workshops.

The frame is made of beta-titanium and tortoise acetate, which makes the glasses lightweight and very comfortable. Every detail is meticulously thought out: German engineered hinges with brown or smoky gray lenses.
