To complete our formalwear collection, we offer our version of the white pleated-front tuxedo shirt.

Cut
We chose a generous semi-spread collar with a 9.5 cm point length. This length allows the points to tuck more easily under a waistcoat or jacket lapels.

Designed with a straight pleated front and a hidden placket, this white tuxedo shirt is suitable for ceremonies and various formal occasions.

Our experience in bespoke tailoring has led us to evolve the pattern of our ready-to-wear shirts. The semi-fitted cut of our new pleated-front tuxedo shirt offers more room in the shoulders for optimal comfort.

This shirt also features rounded French cuffs. The French seam and gusset will add further robustness to the shirt.

Fabric
Originating in Avignon in the 15th century, poplin is a plain weave fabric that can be made from pure cotton, synthetic materials, or a blend of other materials. It is characterized by a dense weave and is soft to the touch.
Ours is a lightweight cotton poplin, designed for year-round use: breathable during the summer but sufficiently opaque.

Along with twill, poplin is the most formal shirt fabric due to its smooth and perfect surface. It is ideal for a dress shirt if one is looking for a relatively matte finish. Although they are often used for similar shirts, there are some key differences between the two, starting with the fact that they are not woven in the same way.

While twill is also a plain weave fabric, poplin is woven with a fine warp thread and a thicker weft thread. Although both are strong materials, poplin is often softer and more breathable than twill.
