Description

Created in 1866, near the little city of Ayr, in Scotland, Begg & Co often draws inspiration from the wild scotish landscapes and the intensity of natural colours in its surroundings.

Known on the market as the cashmere expert, the house uses cashmere from the icy steppes of the Himalayas, for its lightness and its calorific qualities.

Cashmere as a fiber is as precious as rare. Harvested only once a year, each goat, on the contrary to what one might think, produces only a very small quantity of cashmere. To assure the best quality, Begg & Co pays careful attention to eco-responsible values and animal welfare. It is a member of the “Sustainable Fibre Alliance” which ensures a supply of raw materials of exceptional quality. The origin and quality of the cashmere fibers are subject to a very strict selection criteria. The farms are regularly visited by Begg & Co’s teams in order to certify that all the raw materials have been sourced according to the ethical rules dear to the company.
