Informale was founded in 2017 by Jordana and Steve Calder in Melbourne. Together with a small local workshop, they have developed a line of products tailored to the modern man who wants to embrace informal elegance. The J002 is an informal interpretation of the famous Jungle Jacket used by the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. It has retained its utilitarian character, the jacket is unlined, with its characteristic patch pockets and shirt collar and cuffs. The silhouette has been modified to suit an urban environment – the J002 can be worn just as easily over a suit as it can over Army fatigue trousers.
